MATHEMATICS
Our school uses Amplify Desmos Math, an engaging math program that helps students understand math in a meaningful and supportive way. Lessons are built around real-world problems that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation.
Students learn by exploring ideas, using visual models, and explaining their thinking through both digital tools and written work. They also work together to discuss strategies, ask questions, and learn from one another. This approach helps students build confidence and develop a strong understanding of how math works, not just how to solve problems.
Amplify Desmos supports all learners by meeting students where they are while keeping them challenged at grade level. Most importantly, it helps students see themselves as capable, confident mathematicians who are ready to take on new challenges.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS
Our English Language Arts program uses HMH Into Literature, a comprehensive curriculum designed to strengthen reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills. Students engage with a wide range of culturally diverse texts, including novels, short stories, nonfiction, and poetry. Through close reading, class discussions, and writing projects, students learn how to analyze texts, express their ideas clearly, and build strong academic vocabulary. The program also emphasizes social-emotional learning and real-world connections, helping students grow both academically and personally.

SOCIAL STUDIES
Passport to Social Studies is the NYC DOE’s inquiry-based curriculum that helps students explore history, geography, economics, and civics through engaging lessons. It encourages critical thinking and analysis of diverse perspectives using primary sources, maps, and artifacts. The program fosters empathy and social-emotional learning while developing research, writing, and discussion skills. Through this approach, students build an understanding of their community, the broader world, and their role as informed citizens.

Our school uses Amplify Science, a hands-on, inquiry-based curriculum that helps students think, investigate, and discover like real scientists. Lessons are built around real-world phenomena and give students opportunities to explore, ask questions, and develop solutions through meaningful investigations.
Students engage in experiments, data analysis, reading, writing, and discussion to deepen their understanding of life, physical, and Earth science concepts. The program emphasizes evidence-based reasoning and critical thinking, helping students connect what they learn in the classroom to the world around them.
Through active learning and scientific inquiry, Amplify Science builds curiosity, strengthens problem-solving skills, and supports students in developing a strong foundation in science.
ENL & Dual Language
Our school is proud to offer ENL and Dual Language programs to support multilingual learners in building strong language and academic skills. These programs are designed to meet the diverse needs of students whose home language is not English, helping them succeed both academically and socially.
Through small-group instruction and integrated classroom support, students develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English. In our Dual Language program, students also receive instruction in two languages, supporting bilingualism, biliteracy, and cultural awareness.
We celebrate cultural diversity and foster an inclusive environment where every child feels welcome and valued. Our dedicated teachers work closely with families to ensure students are supported at both home and school, creating a strong foundation for student success.
Dance
The Dance program allows students to explore movement, rhythm, and choreography in a creative and supportive environment. Students learn dance techniques, develop performance skills, and work collaboratively to create original routines. Through practice and performance, students build confidence, discipline, and self-expression while staying active and engaged.
Theatre
In Theatre, students explore acting, storytelling, and performance through script analysis, improvisation, and stage production. The program helps students develop public speaking skills, creativity, and teamwork. Students gain confidence as they express themselves, perform for audiences, and bring characters and stories to life.
Tech Arts
The Tech Arts program introduces students to digital tools used in design, media, and creative production. Students learn skills such as graphic design, digital storytelling, and basic technology applications. Through hands-on projects, they develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and digital literacy that prepare them for future academic and career opportunities.
